I was over there and SWMBO decided she wanted to go into the centre (Volvo V70) I am the first to admit that I have no sense of direction and we got hopelessly lost. I had been working all day in 40 C heat and at 1am I had enough. Stopping to fill up the thirsty V70 with petrol we noticed a taxi filling up as well. At 1 am you have to pay first so my little swamp duck went to pay while tried to keep awake at the pump. I asked her to pay the taxi to go to the hotel and we would follow. I was just finish the filling when I saw her waving franticly through the back window of the taxi as is shot off down the road. You should try keeping up with a mad taxi driver through the back streets of Barcelona in a V70

It went below -25C this night and the car refused to start this morning.
It took more than an hour for the AA to get the car started. Now I'm looking for new glow plugs but there are none to be found in Estonia. I've even visited the peugeot and citroen dealers (the cars do share the same PSA DW-12 engine) but with no luck

Thought it about time I joined the fray, been lurking for long enough.
Had my freelander 2 just over four years now and touch wood had no problems.
This is my third freelancer, began with an "R" reg Perekins engined model in 99. Changed it for a 56 plate TD4, kept that until I got current car in early 2008. To be fair to Land Rover, I've had no real issues with any of them.
Anyway, I hope to keep this one for some years yet, so am looking to start servicing it myself and will be using the site for hints and tips.
Hope I can be of some value to the site as well.

Hello from sunny Cyprus. I hope I am on the right place. Just purchased an FR2 2.2 litre 190PS SD4 GS model. First time a LR owner, always used with the Japanese cars so this is a totally new experience for me. Happy Landing 2 )
