Nice Exclamation , if you ever want to add a few extra, occasionally thing get added to eBay and very reasonable prices

Just looked how far in the 'Highlands' you are on the map, any further up and you would need a boat Shocked Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Indeed, I've used eBay to buy the clear side repeaters, rubber floor mats, emergency seat covers (very much a last resort, a step above a black bin bag) and an independent-make load space guard (seats can still be folded flat with the guard remaining in situ).

not too sure on that one

It maybe worth a visit to Google Maps and see what happens there as the map on this forum is powered my google maps.

Hey! Dave here, new to this forum.

I have a FL2 for the day when my D2 goes to the dealers at the end of Feb. It will be the decider on whether I buy a TD4 GS or not.

I have been a member of one of Martins other great sites - Disco3.co.uk for nearly 2 years now, and this site is really picking up momentum and will match the Daddy in no time I am sure.

Hi everyone!

I've been looking at this site for a sometime now while we were deciding whether or not to purchase a Freelander 2.
What started it was we had a free half day Land Rover experience and loved it we looked at new, but wanted the HSE spec which was a bit pricey. We decided we would wait until we found the right used one. We did at the end of November and are now the proud owners of a gleaming 2007 56' plate Sumatra Black HSE.
Its great!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

NEW OWNER

Very excited, about to take delivery of my first 4x4 Milestone After slithering and scrabbling about offroad in an audi a6 quattro on my way to work for the last year I have decided to get a vehicle that is fit for purpose. I would like to say how great this forum has been in helping me to decide on which model, which accessoriers and, most of all, in overcoming my terror of freelander reliability problems Sad

I looked long and hard at getting a Japanese soft-roader but finally I just couldn't do it to myself. I realised that after a series of Golf's and Audi's, the only car I ever loved was my 1962 Riley 1.5 (coffee and cream with twin carburettors, no syncromesh in first gear and red leather interior). Despite her breaking down every month or so (usually for no very good reason), she was my baby. Hoping to feel that way about driving a car again.

Wish me luck! Thumbs Up

Does anyone have any thoughts about the appearance of the LR detachable towbar, BTW? I do not tow anything bigger than a bicycle and I do not want my new baby defaced by a white electrical cap (apologies to all c Censored van owners).

Hi all

Welcome to Freel2.com, the brand new community web site for prospective owners, enthusiasts and everything else related to the forthcoming Freelander 2 (LR2) from Land Rover.

I'm Martin and I currently run DISCO3.CO.UK and RRSPORT.CO.UK - very similar sites for the new Discovery 3/LR3 and the Range Rover Sport.

Anyway, say hello here, let us know if you've got any info on the new Freelander, or have one on order, or just like the look of them from the spy shots so far Wink

Please have a play with the forum and gallery, and do let me know any problems or queries.

Enjoy!

Martin

detachable tow-bar

Islander ........ I have the LR detachable towbar, which is very discreet. However, even when the tow bar istelf is detached the electrical sockets, one balck one white, are still in place and fully visible.as you might expect. Rolling Eyes

There is a long string elsewhere on the forum on this, including links to pics.
