Mine also appears to have gone, the bolt was loose! No signs of the noise now. Thanks! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

This does seem to be a solution to one of the worse rattles. However I'm just wondering how tight that bolt should actually be? I gave mine a few turns yesterday, and it did, as others have already said, feel as if the thread was stripping! Will it eventually become tight, or will the thread strip? |

Hmmm, I can't seem to get the indicator fitting off. Do I just pull it, or is there another trick to it? |

To find out how durable the captive nut is, ask your dealer if LR005557 is plastic or metal.

I think I read on here that you push the side repeater to the front of the car and the rear edge can then be released and pulled out. |

Had a root around under the dash this afternoon, and I think the other end of that bolt is accessible from inside the car. If it is then a longer bolt + a washer and nut from the inside should keep it in place for ever. |

Let us know if you do find it to be possible! Just had a quick look and I couldn't see it. Would be good as I think it may come back! cheers! |

Mine seems to have developed this rattle too! I can't seem to get the indicator out to have a proper look. How do you remove the indicator? 2010 HSE TD4 auto, Biscay Blue, Almond Leather, facelift front and rear, detachable towbar, front & rear mudflaps, bib spoilers, clear high level brake light, smooth rear wiper, colour coded door handles. Hi, Just wanted to say that this solution worked for me. I have had a vibration noise that seemed to be coming from the area of the speaker grill on the passenger side of the dashboard. It would come and go for no reason and was difficult to trace.

Just been searching around i have a rattle/vibration buzzing between 1300 and 1600 revs from the glove box area, cant see anything obvious and it happens when the glove box is full or empty. When you say the indicator do you mean the side repeater. Did anyone take any photos to help ? |
