I did notice at Halewood that the Freelander used on the experience had the Spats fitted and they did scrape on the section where they demonstrate the Traction Control, but it unless you do the "hefty" stuff cant see them being a problem. |

Just received the parts from the dealer, and must admit I’m a little confused. As mentioned previously it appears the part numbers have change recently. I have LR029532 L/H and LR032205 R/H, which I understand are the latest numbers The L/H spoiler is larger than the R/H spoiler and to me looks a little odd when fitted (The Left hand looks like the item in the photographs at the beginning of this post but the right looks like the type fitted to a new FL2 at the dealer). Just beware if ordering these as I’ve been caught out before with changing Land Rover part numbers (Freelander 1 fuel parts to name one of many). |

OK, I understand that the latest models (MY 2012 ??? as seen at the main dealer) are fitted with slightly smaller parts:

Any chance of posting a pic so we can all see what the slightly smaller parts look like on the car?! 2010 HSE TD4 auto, Biscay Blue, Almond Leather, facelift front and rear, detachable towbar, front & rear mudflaps, bib spoilers, clear high level brake light, smooth rear wiper, colour coded door handles. So what is the purpose of smaller ones? |

From what I have been told from a fellow 4 x 4 source (note not a Land Rover source) the larger ones were suspect to getting damaged on high kerbs and off road obstuctions (not sure if many FL2s venture that far off road. Mine goes as far as muddy fields). Not bad for the price considering the cost for other trim parts. |

Thanks Eurolandy They look better than the earlier, larger ones IMHO. I take it fitting is similar to the earlier version and that they will fit a 2010 MY vehicle? As for effectiveness , who knows, but I have noticed a lot of cars, not just 4x4's have these bibs or whatever fitted these days including my partners BMW 335i convertible. 2010 HSE TD4 auto, Biscay Blue, Almond Leather, facelift front and rear, detachable towbar, front & rear mudflaps, bib spoilers, clear high level brake light, smooth rear wiper, colour coded door handles. The mounting points appear to be the same for both versions, suppose it saves on tooling costs as it uses two existing mounting points on the bumper. Just pilot drill and use a self tapping screw and large washer for the third position. A bit of copper grease on the screw thread and head helps keep the rust at bay. |
