Warranty Work

Do I have to use a Land Rover dealer/service centre if I need any work done under my manufacturer's warranty?

I'm considering using an Independent Land Rover specialist for my 3rd service but wouldn't want the hassle of having to then take it to the Land Rover dealer should any warranty work need doing.

I will ask the Independent tomorrow on the phone but wondered if anyone knew the answer on here.

Glad i never used an Indy.
Although much cheaper, than a main dealer, L/R have contributed to my out of warranty repairs because i always took it to a main dealer.

Warrany work has to be done by main dealer. Indy's can't claim the labour/parts back from L/R Thumbs Up Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

thanks for the reply. i had booked with my LR dealer but they'd had to cancel my appointment at short notice so that's why i was looking at other options. LR dealer has managed to reschedule my appointment so they've still got my custom.

i know technically, this isn't the same subject but am i right in thinking the extra £80+VAT on top of a normal A service (and compound inflation at 5%) is the brake fluid replacement that happens at 3 years?

Quite possible, my dealer didn't bother to do it or mention it, till I realised via here it should have been done Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

As Nick said, quite possible but it may be for the air filter change and the fuel filter (only done on a 'B' service), and not the brake fluid.
