I liked the look of the new Bib Spoilers on the o 11 fl2

I read a lot of good fitting instruction on this forum so decided to order a pair and have a go..

The fitting was so simple, i think it took me longer to take the photos then to fit the Bibs

I paid just over a tenner for the two Bibs;


1-cut off locating lug on each spoiler with a knife
2-remove the two existing bumper screws (for each side)
3-place bib spoiler in place & replace the two existing screws
4-drill through 3rd hole in spoiler into bumper with small drill bit
5-screw in one new self tapping screw to each side

In wet winters to get in or out of our village we have a two and half foot deep
puddle at the bottom of the lane to wade through its more like a small lake some wet year..

The day I brought mine home my neighbour, who's an agricultural worker, took one look at the spats and said that they'd be the first thing to ground out and break either themselves, or the front bumper Oddly enough, even the hand book recommends getting rid of them if you're even thinking about going off road!

I remember my dad's old MG Maestro (well, it was 1986!) had something very similar and I managed to catch it on a curb; when I reversed off the kerb I managed to rip the front bumper along half its length

I was relieved to find that it only required the undoing of three screws on either side to put them in their rightful place, on the top shelf in the garage, where they'll reside for the next 100,000 miles

Interesting to see that some are doing exactly the opposite...

Seems you need a vehicle with say adjustable ride height (from air suspension maybe?) and built in front spats.
