Personally agree with the last post re your Hastings quote as I had a similar one from them on Confused, but does it include courtesy car, windscreen cover, child car seats etc etc. Regardless of this a work colleague had a nightmare with them getting his car repaired after a no fault accident (they were his insurer). Long story, suffice to say once they have your money, and you have a piece of paper with 'Insurance certificate' on it, their customer service seems to vanish. |

They always try it on ... and are mostly successfully because (as has been said) you need the certificate and they need the money.

£245 for 2007 XS auto with Admiral on multicar policy. £500 excess in total. Had to haggle at renewal but they dropped considerably to retain my business. Age 54 - self & wife - full NCD - West Sussex.

I have found admiral the best for insurance lately, especially if you have more than one car, it will prob. be cheaper to cancel your old insurance and go with them. also cheap for youngsters on your insurance. |

I can only assume that living in the town centre has left me paying through the nose for my Insurance. Mid 40’s full NCD clean licence fully comp unprotected me only, £582.58--- --- £350 excess £65 windscreen excess, done via Adrian Flux. (Hastings direct were £20 cheaper but the policy wasn’t as good.)

Just renewed with LRI, from the above quoted prices they got it down to £527.18 (with £250 excess) but after a long 6-10minute wait to get through to renewels yesterday, I thought it might be a good idea to ask if the rates had changed over the weekend and got it for £507.18 with £250 much better than the insurance item on Look North last night with the young lass who was quoted £54K for her insurance (after now wasting her money passing her test) and a ex-police driver who couldn't get insured and the chap whos insurance was double that than 1mile down the road. There was also a few people who had contacted them and one chaps insurance in Leeds City Centre went from £1000 to £55000 at renewel Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |
