The good thing with a log cabin is that it will take longer to get going. But it would be necessary to keep all the plastics, foam & synthetic materials to a minimum.

Really old buildings with massive timber beams survive fires better than steel building. Once steel beams get to a critical temperature the steel looses strength & fails, fairly quickly. Very heavy timber beams carbonise which slows down the burning of the critical thickness of the timber. Providing more time for people to escape. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
