I'm not happy with the throttle response on mine either - 12MY GS manual. Seems slower to pick from idle than it should be which has had me crawling away from junctions etc. on times. I think I'll give the dealer a call as I think it's a bit dangerous as it is. I have to remember to 'lead' with the throttle more than I should have to when pulling off. |

I have always thought that my 2011 GS was a bit flat from tickover when pulling away. With all the torque the engine delivers I would have expected a lot more low down response. Be interesting to see what your dealer says. |

JB19, I notice that you use Strathearn for servicing. were you pleased with them ? and would you recommend ? as I had them in the back of my mind for my next service. any advice/comments appreciated ( you could PM me if you wish ) thanks Iain |

To me, it's the off boost pickup that is crap really. From idle upto the turbo spool up is just gutless.

I took my11 SD4 in for exactly the same thing - they said they did a software upgrade and it felt brilliant for 2 weeks...

It took me months to get used to my throttle (2011 manual). Quick roundabout entrances from standstill have left me in a dodgy position more than once ! I now move off with zero throttle relying on the anti stall, then when I am completely off the clutch I accelerate and that's the quickest and smoothest way of moving for me. _________________
