To be honest, I own a Disco 1, a Disco 2 v8 and a very classic 2 door Range Rover. No Freelander.

But I am an electronic technician and you guessed it, work only on Land Rovers with very few exceptions like BMWs or Rovers.

So here I am, mainly to sort out my client's problems and maybe with a bit of inside knowledge.
I love my IIdTool Pro and my Oscilloscope

Had 3 Disco's before, 300 Tdi, and 2x Td5's.
Looking forward to picking it up.

Just joining in from Norway 🇳🇴. Had my freelancer a week, and figured it would be smart to get some knowledge. (This is my 5th LR, so I know it’s smart to know what’s going on under the bonnet 😅)

Hi, you may know me from such forums as disco3.co.uk and the d2boysclub, but I find myself here after the wife turned up with a freelander 2 sd4 dynamic yesterday after trading in our beloved Saab 9-3 and not telling me!

Lovely car, but I was trying to reduce our LR ownership, not increase it! I’ve just agreed the sale of my d3 to get something a bit more basic and rough, as the d3 is wasted on me as a dog wagon and short work commute car.

Hopefully won’t have to post here too much, but we have a small issue already with the keys, which I’ve posted in the relevant section!

Hello all, been here a couple of days now really looking for info and wisdom (jury’s out on that ) as we recently sold our FFRR VSE and felt we needed another car for longer runs as our main car is an EV (BMW i3) and we are now getting pleadings of help from our kids with the grandchildren and we live a fair distance away it means the i3 needs at least one charge on route, not that would not bother us (no hurry both retired) but for an emergency dash for the kids it’s better to get straight there.

We had a FL1 facelift before (BMW engine/auto) from new for a couple of years and it was great, and the recent Range Rover was lovely also and reliable but then we didn’t use it much for the year we had it and it seemed a bit of a waste on the drive, so a FL2 is on the cards......or maybe a Lexus RX350.......we had an earlier RX which was totally dependable for over 9 years with us!

But I fancy a FL again, like the chunky looks but has to be HSE for a bit of lush inside and petrol for a bit of hush outside

Anyhoo, this seems like a really friendly forum with so much info I am looking forward to ownership.....hopefully. Regards
