Hi all, we've just bought a 2011 Freelander 2 i6. Not sure of the spec but it's got leather seats, sat nav, reversing camera and probably lots more that we haven't found yet. It's a Jap import, so we have to get the radio sorted, opefu;y there are some good solutions on here.

Hello all. Barn1e here as well as on Disco3 site (member of 14 years) - now I have a 14 plate Freelander to run alongside my D3 that is 05 and owned from new. Off to search for the equivalent of a Bodsy brake bible as I am stuck trying to push the piston back in whilst changing the rear pads.

you will need the put the rear EPB into service mode. The Procedure is: For Deactivation Ensure its in park or neutral and the park brake deactivated and ignition turned on. 1. Press and hold the parking brake switch in the release position. 2. Wait 2 seconds 3. Press and hold the accelerator pedal in the wide open throttle position. 4. Wait 2 seconds 5. Turn ignition off and on immediately whilst still finger on park button and foot on throttle. 6. An audible noise will confirm service mode, it will also be displayed on dash. You will hear the brake motors activate for a while. For Reactivation with ignition on. 1. Press and hold the parking brake switch in the apply position. 2. Wait 2 seconds 3. Press and hold the accelerator pedal in the wide open throttle position. 4. Wait 2 seconds 5. Turn ignition off and on again. keeping finger on park button and foot on throttle. |

Thank you. Followed procedure and all done. Pistons were a bit tight going back into the calipers. |
