I am enjoying my 2014 Freelander 2 purchased 5mths ago. Unfortunately my friends with Series LR's and Disco's take great pleasure in belittling it!! Not sure why as it seems to follow them OK apart from ground clearance issues.
Amazed at how it performs off road
I am wanting to try out more difficult off road trails so am looking to raise her up a bit, especially so that I am better able to climb out of the many stream we have running across our trails and tackle some of those ruts with more confidence

Hi all
Ex Disco 1/2 and P38 owner with £17,000 burning a hole in my pocket.
The freelander 2 is my next choice and currently looking at 4 and will be a proud owner in the next few weeks.
SD4 Hse model is what I am searching for and have driven a few but colours are making me wait.
I'm treating myself with a car on my early retirement so it will have to last me quite awhile so low mileage is also a factor 10+ years.


This looks a great site, friendly and full of info.
I live up in Northumberland so lots of green lanes.

Welcome Ugg.... HSE is a great spec LUX/Metropolis not really worth the extra premium

Only downside with HSE is the standard Halogen HB3 headlight bulbs that are very dim and keep blowing, Xenon are way better but there is a tech bulletin from LR for a modification to the wiring loom on Halogen units that they reckon solves the problem.

I'm driving LR'S since 26 years now, all kinds of Range Rover clasic's, Discovery 200TDI, Discovery 300TDI, Defender V8, Defender 300TDI, Defender TD5, Discovery TD5 and at the moment a 2003 Discovery 2 4.6 V8 NAS spec.
My daily is a Audi A3 2.0TDI sportback.

Due to health problems, need to downsise to one car, so selling the Disco V8 and Audi.
Just don't want to give up all the fun, and planning to get a Freelander 2 2.2 diesel 2010 - 2015
Might take a while but ok.

Hope to learn all the Freelander 2 ins and outs here.

Just bought my first Freelander, after admiring them for quite some time. it's a Metropolis in Zanzibar, which apparently is quite rare. Hope I can contribute in some way in the future. Meanwhile I will do a search for a problem I've got - it must have come up before.
