Just joined as I have upgraded the wife's car from a Freelander 1 TD4 HSE to a 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE. I myself have a V8 D3 and have been around Landrovers for years. Have had Series 3's and Defender 90's in the past (still miss my old 90).

I am also on the Disco3 forum.

Hi - At its over 10 years old you need to ensure its had a new cam belt etc. Enjoy. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Just need to change all the drive fluids then and haldex filters (one to renew and one to clean). Worth doing the power steering oil as well. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Hello, everybody! I just bought my first (used) Freelander, and I thought I'd introduce myself now rather than lurking for weeks first! Seems like a nice place you have here.

Not sure if I've done this right but I'll blame it on my age. Just bought a 12 plate GS which I pick up on Saturday. Sold my beloved P38 to make the purchase but managed to persuade my owner to let me keep my VM classic and my Hippo commercial. I live in lovely north Devon, just on the outskirts of Exmoor so you know where this FL2 will be baptised!

An old (in every sense) Land Rover owner. I have owned 2 x Defender 110's, a Freelander 1 (V6 petrol), a 4.6 V8 P38 RR, and now a 2007 i6 HSE, with only 71k miles.

Very clean car, serviced its whole life (thankfully at someone else's expense) at Farnell's in Leeds (main stealer).

I have fitted a DAB radio (Dension) which is great, am having some rear privacy film fitted this week, and then need to get a loose side step welded into position.

Currently I am looking at an OEM reverse camera kit, but believe I need an SMB to RCA cable attachment - which I see D3 website sells - my question is - will this work on a Freelander 2 with touchscreen sat nav monitor?

Greetings everyone - - - have been following fb sites about LR, and thought it would be fun to join this group. I am now driving my second '08 LR2 HSE in Stornaway grey, after putting 140k miles on my first one which was totaled last Summer in a local flood. Really enjoying the replacement "Trucklet 2.0" with lighting and cold weather pkgs missing on my first one. Looking to add about 1" of lift and larger tires for the 19" rims; will appreciate any suggestions about suspension lift. Cheers!

Hi Mael Carhaix13 here I just bought a 2008 LR2 for my daughter after she rolled her 2003 Land rover discovery (Pictures later) It came with 235/60R18 I am looking for taller tires more aggressive that can give me some ground clearance and if possible spring spacers or body lift I would appreciate any input or resources We are base in California North and have a lot of access to trails to try
