United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame

Yeah - we heard about that shortly after it happened at Dyfnant.

Caused much hilarity with the media chaps sat with us. I believe the Defender that hurtled down the stage with the siren blaring was the recovery vehicle.

To my untrained eye, that looks written off (at least CatD) to me.

Shame it would have been a opportunity to flog it Laughing

Nice to finally see a pic of the D4, i guess the FL2, Volvo and Japcars are better handling off road Laughing Whistle Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Have you finished processing your 400 odd shots yet? Laughing
Never mind watching 'I'm a Censored Celeb and you're a Censored for watching such tripe' Laughing
Just finished mine, but I only took 70! Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Deleted to around 350, but that will need another deleting session to get rid of the ones which processing won't get anything from, that will be a rainy day session when I need a escape from my daily Censored Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

70 left you mean Laughing

I have had one printed at 15x 10 for the next photo comp, along with a pic of a yacht, comp is two weeks away so need to get some PDI stuff ready.

Need somewhere next year that we can use a longer lens and more straight on perhaps? Panning was a pain and the surface the cars were on didn't help, shutter speeds need to be higher, I have many that I am not impressed with.

I'm left with 59 but must admit I did delete quite a few on the day.
Dunno about increasing shutter speed, I tried 1/250 once and the car looked 'parked'.
Most of mine look fine. Might try a smaller aperture next time as I got the front of the car in focus but the rear wasn't.
Must admit Taz, rally cars are difficult to get right.
I think it's a compromise between action and sharpness. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

If the Rally is here again next year, and I see no reason why not, maybe I could scour the stage and find a point where the car becomes airborne. That way, no vibration and sharp shots Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Its all your fault chaps, not quite the WRC, but I'm off to a Clubmans Rallycross this Satruday over at Croft Race Circuit near Darlington, You've stirred my memories of chasing Group B Rally cars through, Hamsterly, Kielder and Dalby Forests in the mid Eighties.

Hopefully I'll have a photo or two Mr. Green weather permitting

So to stop you all worrying I have found my radio check sheets (did not throw them out) and according to my calculations car 116 did not pass my post at junction 13, and he was not given out over the radio at the end as "stopped in stage".
However now that the Rally GB results pages have been sorted out he is shown as having completed the stage and actually finished the rally.

This means that I missed him although my stage totals tally with the start and finish records and you must have missed him or deleted him on the day.
