I'm still pmsl over it Rolling with laughter

Great way too while away a couple of hours listening to Greg's jokes every five minutes, but to change the character it's based on because you had never heard of him was a all time classic in itself Laughing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

The looks on the other peoples faces when we laughed, stood in the cold two hours before anything interesting came by, amongst the best two hours spent in a long time.

"Look at those people waving flags, from Finland by the look of it" ..... "It's the Finnish line" said Greg... Rolling with laughter
Never known anyone tell so many jokes, just finishing off the old speckled hen back to reality tomorrow

A great time laughing, talking, munching on pack up

Laughing at Greg when he spent 5 minutes looking in the three pockets of his rucksack trying to find his mars bars and orange juice, only to find them and then realise he hadn't brought a hot flask

The sock that would fall off the top of his boot whilst the other stays put

The yell from the Forrest opposite when that lad fell in the ?stream/bog? And appeared over the hill with one leg soaked through all the way to his knacker sack Laughing just to stand there with 6 mates not even watching the WRC cars blast past Rolling Eyes Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I heard it broke down, didn't know it was rolled Shocked

Blasted past us, like most of the stage cars, I believe LR told them to leave it on the stage and they would recover it Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

The one that broke down was a radio car, think that was what Bill told us! the tog car must be another, the freelanders that where tooling about were certainly not hanging around.

Think the Defender that came hurtling down the stage immediately after the doomed Disco was the recovery vehicle.

The news that it had been rolled caused much merriment amongst the media people immediately in front of us.

Last time I went to the rally, car zero was a Bowler - this time it was a Volvo!! Although, much respect to the driver - he got that Volvo round the hairpin on the handbrake quite a bit better than 70% of the actual rally cars we saw!!

Laughing

That Volvo sounded very tasty, if you were at the hairpin then we where 300 yards up the road from you, we figured it would be busy down there and headed further up the track.
The word with the radio disco is that, at LR's request, is was not towed away but squirrelled away in a local barn until after the event.
Looks like the Halewood born products faired much better all round, the surface out of the car was very slippery, I dread to think how it must have been Sunday morning with the rain on top of it.

Actually found out later that it was one of the timing set up crew.

Also did not get left in the barn but LR came and took it away under cover of darkness.

Right folks I have been on the RallyGB website to try to get some info on the finishing positions of the cars of which you took picture of but it is not very user friendly, in fact it is :censored:

Information I have managed to get is as follows.
1-Elfyn Evans (son of the very famous Gywndaf Evans) who lives not far from Pegleg finished 8th overall and first Brit home, in his first run in an M Sport Fiesta putting to shame some much more experienced drivers.
2-Second Brit Mark Higgins on his first Rally GB since 2010
3-Car 43 is Tom Cave. watch out for him in the future.

Note to photographers. Make sure you angle the pic to get the car number if you want further info or wish to try and market them.

Also for those members living up North and wanting some further rally action the Grizedale Stages Rally is on Saturday 30th November. See

I too like Nicks' new signature Rolling with laughter

Well, if L/R did take the D4 away, they didn't take it far as myself and Mrs Pegleg saw it parked on the Cann Office car park on Sat evening.
Been raining here all morning, so I might nip up the forest in my FL2, drive round the stage and knock a few seconds off the fastest time recorded over the weekend Whistle

Apologies from Stanley my border collie who, at early hours in the morning, farted in Bills face. Lucky man, it could have been much worse; like recycled Pedigree!

Hope you all enjoyed yourselves; smashing company.
Now, where's me joke book for next year.............. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
