There I was parked up eating my sandwich this lunchtime in a layby minding my own business and a high sided pickup coming the other way pulled in behind me and reversed back - I was watching in my rear view mirror thinking "he's getting pretty close" then the inevitable THUD followed.

There may be hidden damage to the internal bumper backer reinforcement bar, also if you have park sensors they might be defective now. Worth a recheck methinks !

tailgate of pickup that sticks out was higher than my bumper so i think it actually missed the bumper as only mark was on bootlid. I have reversed into a parking bay and sensors appear to be working fine |
