Also, don't forget to grease the linkage/cable underbonnet. Get someone to move the gear lever as you look underbonnet. That way, you'll be able to see when most of the cable protrudes.

My 56 HSE has developed a bit of a squeaky gear stick - I'm guessing I can take the gaitor off and spray a bit of lube around it?

Anyone else had this?

A quid says this is the turbo actuator arm. There is a fix kit and lube. With labour it should be £280

Thanks for this - what is a "SSM"? The kit is just £43 on brit part - and your SSM below lists 0.6 hrs? Is that labour time do you think?
