Tyre pressures are dictated by the manufacturer of the vehicle not by the tyre maker who only puts the maximum pressure allowed on the tyre.

And as usual you can't always trust the garages. We bought a set of tires [sic] for a Chevy in the States. The supplier said they should be run at slightly higher pressures than normal, the Chevy service specialist then set them all to the max pressure printed on the tyre! Not to be recommended! |

When I was 17 I noticed my Mini's front tyres were looking a bit flat, went to Tesco Garage, but the air hoses gun gauge was busted, so just filled them until they looked "full" ...
