squeaky manual gear change

My 56 HSE has developed a bit of a squeaky gear stick - I'm guessing I can take the gaitor off and spray a bit of lube around it?

Anyone else had this?

Thanks!

Also - Passenger window needs resetting and only one key fob works .... Landys eh?

PTFE spray ( possibly from halfords) works a treat, dont use WD40

Also, don't forget to grease the linkage/cable underbonnet. Get someone to move the gear lever as you look underbonnet. That way, you'll be able to see when most of the cable protrudes.
I grease mine every few weeks Whistle Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
