Yes indeed. I have done this twice until the fluid has been clear and with new reservoir each time. Hence my suggestion that the rubber pipes are perishing. |

Pump is new as is fluid which is genuine LR stuff. That is why I wondered about the hoses. |

Our manual Freelander has no stuttering problems and runs well except for a jolt when the engine is switched off. We have also had the occasional cut out while running.
