| Worth checking the battery connections before spending money. I had similar issues with my 07 (clock and trip resetting, radio cutting out) which were cured by tightening the terminals. |

How sure are you that it's not tyres - does it vary with road surface?
FL2s are very prone to tyre noise which can come on as tyres wear. |
