I read on www.motortorque.com there is a knock on effect from the Japanese earthquake that has caused a shortage for the production of red and black auto paint.Strange ? If true...Will effect all sorts of marque not just Japanese.

Its true, Merck products in Germany have a component in their paints that is only produced near the Fukushima plant.
Not sure which companies use it but from reading it seems to be the more irredescant paints.

Fingers crossed no LR products are affected

Looks like we will see more Freel 2's in the select premier shades, Lago springs to mind

Funny you should mention the colour "Lago", I just happen to have one in that premium shade, Oh with an auto box as well.
