The 6300 is a nice phone, thin, light, 2mp camera, large screen and the fl2 list of phones says its fully compatable with the pti.

The above link should take you to the list

Scotland 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Indus Silver

Hi Simmo,
Unfortunately, it isn't just about the phone model, it also involves the phone firmware version.
I had tremendous help from my local carphonewarehouse shop, where they tried every phone they had that was listed on the LR website, but because the firmware version was different, it wouldn't synchronise properly so nothing came through the F2 speakers.
Talking to my local LR dealer, one of the salesmen had recently bought a Nokia 6233 and it worked out the box and he has upgraded the firmware twice, each time synchronising successfully. I ended up buying the same model (although i had just earlier bought the SE 750i) and with an older version of firmware than LR suggested, it worked perfectly.
Try before you buy... Out with the old (2007 SE)
In with the new (2012 Dynamic with everything). Now also gone.

I've just bought a Nokia 6300 to use with the PTI - works absolutely perfectly. Had a Nokia 8800 before that which worked OK but you didn't always get a ringing tone when dialling out. Tried various other Nokia phones with PTI; many phones worked OK but required you to 'manually' connect the phone to PTI system by selecting 'YES' on phone when it queried whether you wanted to connect to car. The 6300 just latches straight onto PTI without leaving your pocket, as did my 8800 but the battery life on it was dire hence its demise.

Yep,... I've got to upgrade (simply to get a better deal on calls & txts) and the Nokia 6300 is my choice too ... so I'm glad it works ok. Smile

I've currently got a Nokia 6230i, which also hooked up to the FL2 system perfectly.

I use a Motorola Z3 and it works perfectly on Bluetooth. It did require consulting both the phone manual and the Freelander manual to set it up in the first place and I don't know whether I could repeat it!! One thing I've found is that it's necessary to have your phone fully fired up before starting the car. Otherwise you have to go through the selection process to synchronise the phone.

i have a Nokia 6300 and a Blackberry 8100 Pearl. Both phones connect but the reliability of the 6300 is amazing. It has never lost a connection and has full functionality. Very Happy

Nokia 6500?

Anyone know if the Nokia 6500 (quad band) phone works with the FL2 bluetooth system? Neutral

It doesn't seem to be listed on the LR FL2 website yet. Sad

Check this page out it. There is a link to show the currently compatible cell phones that can be used with the integrated telephone system on the FL 2.

http://www.landrover.co.uk/gb/en/Vehicles/...ration.htm

I sincerley hope this will be continually updated, with available dealership downloads, to accomodate new phones coming on to the market. Until then be wary of accepting an upgrade that will not integrate with your in car equipment.
I have a Palm Treo 750v and i can forget about using that in car. The sim has to go back into the Motorola V to use handsfree. Firenze Red XS TD4 01/2013 . Averaging 1800 miles per month. My 5th Freelander in 11 years. Devotee?

The link on the previous abbreviates on posting. Try searching ' Freelander 2 phone integration ' that will get you there. Firenze Red XS TD4 01/2013 . Averaging 1800 miles per month. My 5th Freelander in 11 years. Devotee?

FL2 & N73

The N73 doesn't work properly. It will connect, but drops the connection if you try to dial from the radio keypad. It also won't load the phonebook. Not a good choice.

Bluetooth kit is fine when it works but is nowhere near as good as previous wired Nokia kits. Car loses connection to phone for no apparant reason and you have to search for phone again. My car is HSE spec and using Nokia 6234 which is supposed to work with the kit.

Does anyone else have this problem and have they found a cure.

Still love the car and have now done 6500 miles in just over 7 weeks. Fuel economy is still nowhere near what LR Crying or Very sad say but who cares its great to drive. Cool
