PTI audio problems, Nokia N95, warrantly issue?

Hi,
I use a nokia N95 with the bluetooth PTI in my 57 plate HSE and have regular problems with audio quality. I know that the phone is only partially supported and I don't get the phone book functionality etc.

The problems are mainly on the remote side (i.e. the people I'm calling), these include screeching, echo's and background roar. I'm in for a first service soon and really need to get this sorted, does anyone know of a software update that might fix it or could it actually be a faulty unit?

I'm expecting the dealer to say its down to my phone, and wondering if I'd be better off getting the service done at an independant specialist.

Any thoughts/advice most welcome!
