That sounds good Andy but as you say , you paid for it, just accept its the thought that counts. Very Happy

Mine was a full tank from Lookers PR, I did ask so not sure if it would have been volunteered, and plastic cups for my coffee because NPinks broke the china set. Evil or Very Mad

Stratstone

I was promised a good tank of fuel to get from Newport to North Wales.

Needless to say when the range stated 60 miles i knew, what i always knew...., promises don't mean a great deal unless they are written in ink Smile

Probably what the last owner left in it. That said, some dealers have been known to syphon the remaining fuel with a hose pipe - I kid you not!

They only put in 3 litres (as per invoice), I went straight to the garage and got another 2.5 litres in (7.5 ltr tank).

It must be because I normally get a good discount on whatever I buy, and the supplier is trying to get some money back.

No, surprising as it is, I've never been near one, although I've heard the name. A sheltered childhood!

I have had a lot of new cars before. Most fill the tank up, some half fill it, some a quarter tank and once I had a pint of petrol put in when a full tank was promised. Of course I kept the fill up receipt, but never bothered with it in the end. Suppose I should have.

I remember getting a new RRS from one LR main dealer a couple of years ago and I moaned on there wasn't any diesel in it, nor mats or mud flaps and I was bluntly told I'd run them into the ground on price so much, there wasn't any profit in it for them. A pathetic excuse.

Seems like an understandable excuse to me; I guess I can probably expect mine to be filled by pipette when I collect it then! Rolling Eyes

I once collected a brand new, top of the range, Citroen C5 and there was so little petrol in it that I have no idea how I made it less than 1 mile to their local garage! Censored The petrol gauge didn't move off the bottom and the trip computer wouldn't register any distance at all until the tank was empty - I went straight back in and asked for enough fuel to get to the local garage, but they wouldn't budge! Censored Strangely, I never bought another car from them....

My last new car (Focus RS, May 2010) had exactly the amount of fuel in it that they had charged me for separately on the original invoice!

Full tank from Beadles Sidcup.

On the order form as Full tank of fuel - F.O.C.

My experience is you need to ask for it to get it. Im sure its all built into the price you pay.
