You do realise that a full tank of fuel is not a given and has to be negotiated in with the deal. I received a full tank of juice on my car from Stratstone. Freelander 2 HSE Lux SD4 - Sumatra Black |

I bought a Suzuki Jimny in 2005 from the local dealers. The salesman promised it would "have some fuel in it", or something similar. The day i picked it up, was his day off, and another salesman did the usual handover stuff. I fired it up and drove across the forcourt to the road, as i shifted to 2nd gear, the low fuel lamp came on!! As they don't sell fuel, i just kept going for about 5 stressful miles until i came to a filling station. |

I negotiated a full tank. I was given a voucher for £60 which didn't fill it. I was promised a further £20 which never showed up. Guy Salmon, Coventry. |

I was speaking to the salesman at County landrover in Barnstaple after i bought my freelander. He remarked that their policy of filling up a car with fuel when they sold it had changed about 15 months ago as it was costing the dealership around £10,000.00 a year.

Same here... Manchester.... TBH I was prepared for it and when I picked it up went and filled it up.... That said customer service does seem optional there as does other things.... Still - nearly sorted now my self and I know I have a dam good motor for its age.
