Hello all! Been reading the forums for a while, but finally its time to introduce myself.

Mike, located in Germany, picking up his long awaited (I ordered it way back in in June) HSE in [ahem] Stornaway Grey tomorrow. Yes, the waiting was hard! Now let the fun begin Mr. Green - Mike

Got stornaway grey myself, nice colour, and the most popular choice, it always manages to look cleaner that a black car.

What colour interior did you go for?

Alpacha - I just ordered the same version as in the brochure! Not very creative really, but I think its a good combination! The first accessory will be rubber mats for winter though . - Mike

Was wondering if you have considered changing the side indicator lenses from orange to clear some other members have done this http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic759.html orange suits the Tambora Flame colour but doesn`t look quite so good with other colours .Have changed mine (Tonga Green) think it looks good on Rimini Red too...understand if your not bothered its probably a man thing Laughing Thumbs Up

and don't forget that you can change the dust caps from black plastic, to chrome caps or even dice.

And if your feeling really adventurous, get pink fluffy seat and steering wheel covers. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Now you come to mention i was in halfords at the weekend looking at all the fluffy pink things!!!!!!! no no no not really i don't do pink! I have been watching some of the clear repeaters on flea bay there going for around £30 ,and had silver dust caps on the disco and some Censored nicked them ... its nice that your all so cheerful and friendly on here have been on a couple of forums and dare not post on them as in fear of being belittled. Big Cry that's got to be a woman thing!

First week

First week with my TD4 HSE A (Black/Alpaca with most of the extras). Just love it. So much better than my previous XC90. Just waiting for the first snow here in Sweden (tomorrow according to the reports).

Good question. I don’t know. Got a set of unspecified winter tires for the standard 18" with the car but they are to be delivered separately (delayed). Just know they are studless. I might just get an all free LR driving experience if the snow decides to fall tomorrow...

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Sumatra Black

Hello people!.

I joined yesterday, having had my FL2 a tad over a month.

I have a Sumatra Black Manual TD4 GS, Privacy glass, roof rails, 6Disk in-dash CD player, Winter-pack (HIDs, Heated screen/seats), after-market (Why was is SO much hassle to get a price from a Censored dealer?! Fixed Towbar with Twin-steps (Not pretty, but I have needs!), Front parking sensors.

I work for an automotive OEM, R&D side of things....

For those of you with Adaptive HIDs, does the swivel feature help that much??...The difference between Halogen & Xenon is outstanding, would like some feedback if I should have spent the extra £650-ish to get swivelly ones!. I couldnt find a dearler anywhere that would let me try the two types at night Sad

Previous to the FL2, was a FL1 I bought new in 2001...I'm sure I'll be spending a fair amount of time here Mr. Green '57 FL2 GS
Sumatra Blk, Tints, Winterpack, Dodgylooking TowBar, roof rails, Front & Rear LED Indicators, Clear Side repeaters(Led), LED Rear Position/Brake lights, Additional Power-point in the boot & Brighter luggage Illumination fitted

I had a the ones that turn and point with the car on a courtesy car i had, didn't realise it had them, until the night i did notice them, then spent the night driving round corners.

My thought on these were, ok it they come with the car, wouldn't pay for them though

Welcome mjb, cracking selection on colour and the interior trim, as per mine and it looks great and is refreshing to have a bright airy interior, instead of the black. GET THE RUBBER MATS FOR SURE!!! Got mine for the Tong off road day and they were worth their weight ....alpaca carpet don't do mud or sheep Censored . Fortunately the sheep Censored on my daughters trainers after the local firework display washed off the mats with ease....but it was a Censored to get off the back of the seat. I know the Censored made of grass but Censored thats got a strong colour in it!!

Shar welcome on board, inuendos have been reeled in, in your honour......may I ask why you chose the FL2 as alot of ladies pick a more girlie car, such as the Mini, Merc A class, audi A3 etc.??

mburton2 hello fella, I have the adaptive and yes they turn and you see the beam of the left or right light turn as your wheel turns, but to be honest it don't seem to make much difference to the view in front of you, and you only tell the beam turns when you come up to a tight bend and you see the beam shadow move on the bush/ wall/ vertical surface in front of you. Enjoy spending your saved cash. Xenon are much brighter though as I am constantly reminded by people flashing me Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
