Removing Dealers Decals/Stickers

The dealers decals/stickers on my front and rear screen are actually individual sticky letters, rather than one-piece stickers. On the rear they are also stuck across one of the heating elements. Anyone got any useful tips on how to loosen/soften and remove this sort of decal without causing any damage/using sharp instruments to pick at the letters?

I used windowlene. The chemicals in it soften up and remove the plastic and adhesive.
And nice clean windows to boot. Thumbs Up Don't put petrol in a diesel. They don't run well.

You could return to the deal and demand they remove the additional extra that you did not request or require.

I'm sure if I stuck a label on a house window the owner would have something to say. Confused

I personally hate it when dealers do it and on my FL2 purchase they did the same so I peeled it off asap. luckily it was in one piece.

The other pet hate is they put reg plates on with their business name along the bottom. Where was my discount for providing advertising for them???? Exclamation 2002 Honda VFR800

It is a legal requirement for the supplier of the plates to have their name on , togeteher with specification number for the plates.

If it was not the dealer it would be halfords or whatever

I wasn't meaning the small reference stuff in the corner - this is the 'company name' (who are not the plate makers - they were made by a Ford garage!!) across the middle of the plates just below the reg - nothing other than advertising. 2002 Honda VFR800

Yes but the plate must have a name on it from the supplier of the plate.

I totally agree with what you are saying - but the company name which is visible from 6-8 foot away is not the company who made/supplied the plates - it is the name of the 2nd hand car dealership = ADVERT!

it does have the details of the company who made the plates and the specification in the lower right corner - but you have to be withing 2 foot to read it. 2002 Honda VFR800

Glad of earlier tips on decal removal. The stealer supplying my car stuck one on the inside of the rear screen, which is privacy glass. The only person who can read it is me, in the rear-view mirror and I already know where I bought it !

Do you remember a while back certain car dealers were sticking metal badges with the dealer name next to the manufacturer badge on the boot lid?

Now that was cheeky!

Could be worst you could get a 8" high sponsoring Leeds Utd with the LUFC emblem on your car from a certain LR dealer in shiny chrome sticker

I dont mind the dealer having their name on my cars number plate, along as it isn't too large, I even have there name on my caravan number plate Laughing but large stickers in the window is a big NO!

The only sticker I have on my rear screen is Freel2.com and I have had to get use to having that there Wink Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

The resale value of all those cars with LUFC on them must have drop off a cliff! Smile
Whereas a tax disc holder wiith the crest of a certain south coast club really enhances my FL2 Laughing
