Personally, I hate dealers that insist on bunging on a sticker, be it on the back windscreen or number plate. I've picked up a new car and found the blasted things festooned over the car. Last time this was done, I told the dealer I was going home and they could take them all off, then give me a ring and I'd collect it. They put up a token resistance until I told them the deal was off if they couldn't do it. That focused their minds! I've since mentioned it to dealers before collection and no problem, but in honesty, they should ask permission BEFORE they do this, not rely on me telling them not to do something.

As long as you can use it without it dripping on the dash or trim, brake cleaner or nail varnish remover both generally melt the glue of even the most hardened window sticker.

I've used fancyplates but in theory if you do order a plate without a postcode and manufacturer, they are not road legal. Whether you'd ever have a problem is another matter, my car passed its MOT every time with such plates. 2010 HSE Auto in Santorini Black/almond with xenons and privacy glass.

The number plate law in relation to makers name and postcode is utterly pointless, in fact it could be claimed that if you travelled or were on holiday, it highlights the vehicle is not from the area and make you more likely to be a victim. Besides which, there's no need to make the makers name as big as the registration number. If they do need the makers name/postcode, say to pinpoint where some illegal cherished plates come from, let them put it on the back of the plate.

if you look me, then carry bags with logos on is a form or customer aversion not advertising  At work

Quite right Althestan and if I have to use supermarket bags, I turn them inside out.

Junior put me onto this. He does it when he shops at Farmfoods, but then stops in a lay by and repackages his goods into a Marks and Sparks bag. I think he wants his neighbours to think thats where he shops!

Don't you think turning shopping bags inside out is a bit crazy .
Glad you dont live next door to me.  Don't put petrol in a diesel. They don't run well.

I find it odd in that it is your choice whether to accept a free carrier bag or not, then when you do you object to the advertising. Bring your own favourites next time, you are not forced to receive them

As they are free, my Yorkshireness makes me take them. sometimes I go shopping just so I can get more free stuff At work

They are NOT free here in Swiss supermarkets (in fact the you'll struggle to find anything that is "free" here)

Just got some new plates from Demon Plates and you can get them without their name appearing in the middle. You can either have nothing there, or have a logo of your own choice - mine is 'Up the Cherries'.
Demon Plates details appear in minute writing in the bottom right hand corner to comply.
Excellent service - ordered yesterday afternoon and delivered first thing this morning by the postman - 'signed for' mail.

i assume that all of you that object to names on plates, bages etc also boycott clothes such as weird fish , polo, YSL, and thousands of other brands that have their names emblazzoned all over them , or, sometimes even the labels on the outside.

Seems to me all about something and nothing
