I disagree with expencelander. The engine in the FL2 is smoother and more refined and of course more powerful. I owned a 55 plate FL1 TD4 and yes the engine was good but very underpowered and needed a 6th gear.

We had a manual Xreg(2000) diesel from new - complete bag of spanners, handed it back to the HP company after just over 2 years with 90K on the clock, with yet another clutch on the way out, and the IRD and rear diff making so much noise not even Queen at full volume could compete.
