I thought all diesel engine's oil was like this almost as soon as you start the engine up after an oil change? Theoretically, if towing, the oil change service interval is 6 months as it is listed under 'Arduous conditions' as Z = Towing a trailer or driving in mountainous conditions. |

One school of thought re oil changes was to initially leave the oil in a brand new car for the full twelve months to help the engine to bed in. Subsequent oil changes would then be every six months. I think it was the Daily Telegraph motoring correspondant suggested this. Bryan |
