This new model is available in Santorini Black, Fuji White or Firenze Red (which has been seen for the first time on 5dr Evoque), and will have the choice of Ebony/Ivory or Ebony/Pimento interiors (see pics), depending on the exterior colour chosen.

Price will be £33,945 on the road including the VAT increase.

• Piano Black fascia finisher
• Rear roof mounted spoiler
• Privacy glass
• Refreshed bodystyling kit

Memo: Manual ilo. electrically adjustable seats, Manual ilo. auto dimming interior mirror, No front footwell puddle or map lights.

would have been tempted if it had the armrests - cant drive a FL2 without them now! (tried on a courtessy FL2 and kept falling into the cupholders! Embarassed )

I love the new shade of red very modern Thumbs Up
It does seem a little short sighted £33k and no arm rests I would of thought it would be best kitting up a HSE and putting a couple of grand on top Question

JAMES-the piano black facia, will this be on sale as an accessory??

+1 Why oh why you dont get armrests across the range and you end up having to pay a premium of full leather or HSE to get them is beyond me... this must be the single biggest oversight for the Freelander range? or is it just LR being cheeky and thinking that people will pay the money Question Question Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints

Thanks for the heads up on this new LE James

I would like to think there would be a LE between the GS and XS...perhaps leather (armrests too) and without the sat nav screen but maybe some other goodies. If I have the sat nav nowhere handy to put me specs Smile

Yep, also couldn't agree more. Weird decision, thay are not even an option unless you shell out for expensive leather seats. The arm rests are the main reason we went for an HSE and also why we briefly considered other options - like Kuga/Patriot/Q5.

So this new model is of no interest whatsoever. 2010 HSE Auto in Santorini Black/almond with xenons and privacy glass.

They look good, BUT I have seen a couple of the refreshed FL's on the road and the new grille looks naff. Prefer the looks of mine fitted with an SD4. 2010MY Freelander 2 HSE Auto

England 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Zermatt Silver

James, I like the look of the new car but IMO if I pay that much I would rather go the whole hog and have an HSE. Is there no way incidentally that some way of obtaining or getting LR to offer the armrests as an accessory for the below HSE model. I have the Wood armrest but it is not a patch on the pukka ones. Ralph
Zurmatt Silver, Diesel, Automatic, side steps, mud flaps, mats, boot liner, TomTom Start 60 installed, rubbing strips, removable Brink tow bar, after market tinted glass, front styling bar, Rear spoiler, Motorlicious tail pipe trim. Wood Company centre armrest

Can't say I like it - think the Sport look is rather, err, chavvy myself - but each to their own.

Glad I went for the SD4 HSE from Lookers Park BUT is it going to be on time, James? ie before the VAT rise? Last I heard it had slipped to Christmas!

I recieved a bit of junk mail from the local dealer saying that no vat increase on any Freelander ordered before the end of December and delivered by March, I don't know if this is just a dealer promotion or is backed by LR.
