I have an 07 s very pleased with it. Handled very well in the snow and ice we had, you don't need the terrain response if you can drive properly Took it up to Scotland at Xmas minus 10 and a foot of snow was no prob. I was the only one on the roads/hills where we were. 2007 TD4 S Zermat Silver, maual, panoramic sunroof, rear headrest entertainment system, towbar for trailer. |

We've got an S and it is v good, coped well in the snow. Don't worry about Terrain Response, it's for light weights. Also, with fewer electronic gizmos, there is less to go wrong on an S. Suggest you don't mention the dreaded 'Chrome' word on here by the way! |

Thanks for the info, to be honest the vehicle is spot on apart from these bloody chrome wing mirror covers can live with them on the side of the indicators as you don't really notice it but deffo not on the wing mirrors... |

My S is superb off road, standard rims, but GG AT2s, and it was bloody good with the standard tyres on also but I wouldn't take yours seriously off road with 19" low-pros. Just asking for knackered rims there. We Don't Care About Pot Holes !! |

I didn't buy one because it had no cruise control. Even on the auto. Got a better spec manual with cc for the same price. If cruise control is not important to you then I'd go for the S. |

I am biased of course but I prefer the GS model. What Car? has the same conclusion. The TR dial is useful no matter how good you are, even LR experience day bloke said that. It has the nicest wheels IMO and has just the right amount of equipment for most. HSE owners have the most equipment but more to go wrong and things like heated seats are not necessary with cloth seats.
