Bought Freelander in 1999, Discovery GS in 2001, Discovery Metropolis in 2003 and then tried Jaguar in 2006 - but did not like it so ...... just took delivery of Freelander 2 GS Td4 in Narvik Black ...... Well pleased

Have to say very impressed so far and best Land Rover I have had. Was looking at 2004 Range Rover Vogue but Freelander drove better!!!!

Looked at the forum before buying and was worried about problems but looking good so far.

Another new owner joining!

I picked up a TD4 SE last Sunday and absolutely love it. I Have posted a few pictures in my Gallery as I struggled to find any Izmir Blue phots, so they may be of interest.

I spent a lot of time reading the posts on this site beforehand and found the information really useful - Keep up the good work!

Aren't they just brilliant ? I was really happy when I picked up my TD4 and then I went on a Land Rover Experience day, and now I reckon it's amazing !! Great Photos as well.

Thanks for the greetings; ten minutes after my first post I got the bad news about lead-times! End of February for model/colour of my choice (Nazca Sand or Tonga green). I then asked the question as to what colours I could have earlier and got the equivalent of a blank stare over the phone.

Currently waiting for a reply, but I suspect it will be late Feb.....sigh..... The Barwon Heads Browns

Nazca sand ,Tonga green only a Landrover could look good in those colours ! (i`m a Tonga man) sorry to hear about the delay it will be well worth the wait though, hope you get good news.

I have owned my FL2 SE TD for 3 weeks now. Good car but shame about the poor parts and accessory availability in Australia.

I'm enjoying your forum and the informative posts. They will save me some effort in convoncing the dealer that a few faults actually do exist.

Welcome and wish you all the best with your new freelander2,sounds like your a bit worried about the parts and reliability,thankgoodness for the warranty if anything may go wrong.Great to hear the news about your fuel economy as well,will be looking forward to drive a diesel again,the latest common rail turbo and not a unit-injection that they put into the Jeep Compass.
