Whats the point? Dear me, this site should be named the FL2 Eventide Home. Hot Cocoa anyone? You lot should be ashamed of yourselves. you dont need to go OTT, but some exercise is good for both your mind and bodies and cut out the fags and booze and you'd be halfway there. |

Let's not pull any punches, smoking and drinking is a NO, NO. It can't be justified under any circumstance.

I agree smoking is a big NO, but drinking in moderation can't be that bad my great gran had a sherry every day of her life and lived to 104 Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

I know where you are coming from, but I had a Gran that smoked 20 Players Navy Cut every day and lived until she was 96. If she hadn't smoked, she'd probably still be alive today.

Absolutely Right Andy. If folks wish to hang around so be it - and - if they seek to dash around all day like a manic bluebottle fly then good for them. Each to his or her own life so long as they fully accept the financial and social costs of their actions. Being evangelistic about the sanctity of one's preferred path through life will not confute the quality of an alternative existence. Live and let live. |

The vast majority of the things that you describe there are as result of excessive and normally prolonged excessive drinking. Is alcohol bad. No. Is alcohol in excess bad? Depends on the person. Is prolonged consumption of alcohol for extended periods bad? Without a shadow of a doubt. But then the great thing about living in a free society is that people are allowed to make their own decisions. Even if it is going to kill them in the process... Got to love Natural Selection haven't you! Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again... |

Alcohol is a strong, addictive, mood changing drug, period. Some people can limit it, but one drink is one too many.
