Couldn't agree more, thats why exercise is bad. Rolling with laughter

Most things in excess are bad for your health, although I can't see how winning this Fridays 82 million euro on the lottery is going to ruin my day Question , the difficulty is defining excess.

Good reason to keep it. My favourite drink is Greene King Abbot Ale. Love the stuff. I love nothing more than having 3, 4, 5 pints and talking absolute Censored with my mates in the pub. Don't do it every night, can't afford to, and wouldn't want to, had too many hangovers in my life and I try to avoid them now! Does it enhance my life. Depends how you quantify enhance. Do I enjoy it. Yes. Does it hurt anyone? No.

There is no counter to that unfortunately. One person may not like something. Doesn't make it wrong, no matter how strong the argument against it may be.

It is a bit like the God argument. If someone believes in God, then that is that. He exists for them. You won't change their mind, no matter how misguided they might be. If that is their succour then it let them keep it. Fact of the matter is, religion costs a fortune. The current security situation in the World today is fuelled on the arguments revolving around religion. The cost to the Tax payer is immense. The cost in lives is higher.

The argument about Taxes and where they go... Very dodgy... Someone on their Mountain Bike looses control and hits a tree. The bloke in the pub, who got up in the morning, got in his car, went to work, went home and then to the pub, might ask why should the tax that he pays on his wages and on the beer that he drinks go to fixing some bloke charging round on a push bike cos it makes one feel good. Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

See what I mean, alcohol and sexual exploits! Whats wrong with using the double bag technique? One bag for her head and one for yours? Or two bags for her head in case the first slips off?

Well seeing some peoples wives dont read what their husbands write.

As for the God question, maybe a new subject heading on the forum. Your all wrong!

Alcohol and Cigs, no arguement can justify anything but abstanance. Anyone that says so is a potential alcoholic in denial by default.

As for crashing mountain bikes and the subsequent aftercare, had a few mates, one hit a sheep at 40mph and wrote off his Carbon bike. A few scuff treated by gemoline. Another came off at a similar speed on the Highland Cross, got up and carried on despite dripping blood. On a black route, rock slab, I've scraped my face along the ground recently, blood everywhere, scars on face to show, but luckily no broken teeth or nose. Amoung the serious bikers, the majority dont wear helmets because they get hot and sticky and generally interfere. not saying thats right, but.... Anyway, on the whole, Accidents V. Alcohol related medical treatments - NO CONTEST.

No denial here. I'm just one bottle of scotch a day from being an alcoholic.

Saying that, I'm only blonde twins away from a threesome and I don't hold out much hope for that either!!

God, wrong. Can't be. It is an impossible argument. Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

Driven is a better word! Laughing I am fine, so long as I get my own way.

Maybe you need the booze to get thro' the day or binge at the weekend to compensate.

My message will be understood by the ones accepting they need to change, confirmed alcoholics will be in denial and write robust replies. There, the world put to rights. That was easy.

Probably just as well this wasn't on the D3 site. I'd have been lynched by now. They are all alcoholic, smokers on there and have photos in their gallery to prove it.

You arn't quite alcoholic if you are particular what goes in it, but you can't be far off. Try the diet coke without the Barcardi and repeating the lines, my name is Pinkie, I am an alcoholic.

Ahem, some of us don't drink, smoke yes, it's my only vice and I enjoy it. Will it kill me, maybe yes or maybe no but I enjoy my life as is. When your numbers up, your numbers up. Keeping fit does not guarantee a longer life. You should read Boolia's post in another section on here, her hubby, fit and healthy but may need a new heart and he's only 34!

You assume people are miserable without alcohol or ciggies, not true. You get highs from exercise.

I am only preaching to help those that cant help themselves. Those that need the extra push.

True, when your number is up, it's up, but thats not an arguement from stopping somking or drinking, it's an excuse. Likewise saying it's my only vice.... I do accept people have a choice, but really they don't know how much harm it's doing to their bodies until it's too late.

Ask anyone who's suffering shortage of breath, lung cancer, renal failure etc. etc. if they wished they would have adjusted their life style if they had known and you know what answer you'd get. Don't do it for some moaning minnie on a FL2 site, do it for you and your family.

There are other consequences to smoking/drinking too.

Have you ever considered when you go to flog your FL2, that you'll get a lower price because the inside of it is stained yellow? Or for non smokers, would you buy a smokers car?

PS after Octobers budget/spending cuts, no one will be able to afford it anyway.

I honesty dont see whats so difficult about it. Make your mind up and do it!
