just spoke to the garage and its the rear diff that gone, so i'm loan car till it comes in on back order

I bet some of the engineering types will know the answer, but if the 4WD is only supposed to engage when there is a certain amount of slippage or under certain speeds that the diff on the rear isn't designed for "normal use" If is is either effective locked or not then the load on the drive train when cornering would knacker it in no time.

The line normally uses JIT which is a fancy term for almost hand to mouth. I'm sure the line manager doesn't want to loose a rear diff no matter what, so a 'no' is hardly suprising.

There might be a chance that enterprise will have a LR towbared car, they have before, just my insurance company could not cover it as they had a £25k limit on Loan cars Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |
