Oh it worked.......................... Carnoch - I will class this thread as a 'prospective buyer only' thread and view from a safe distance! Some of your predictions make sense, and I would not expect my 1p's worth to be considered. The answer as far as I am concerned is the point at which you yourself 'press the button', until then we're all guessing!! Yaugher - I'll let you know what the Q2 offers are, hopefully something that will allow you to combine all of the offers. Any luck with your complaint? James |

I was told by a Stealer that I couldn't use my 5% NFU discount and get the discounts off a FL2 I'd been offered. James, maybe you'd enlighten me? I'd have pushed the button at that point. |

Yes, your right. I'd considered it was a bit like the GM Vauxhall points, you know negotiate the deal and AFTER that tell them how many points you have and they take them off the price. |

Well as NFU is being generous by doubling the Mutual Bonus on insurance policies to celebrate its 100th birthday - maybe they will prove the discount isn't just a gimmick. They're in my good books at the moment as the insurance renewal for the four-legged horsepower is substantially lower than last year having had five claim free years. And they did pay out a lot on vets fees for my retired cob (but there are so many exclusions now there's no point in insuring her. At least car insurance doesn't exclude the bits you've claimed for previously |

Will first delivery dates yet for 11my be early September? Potential power hike of particular interest - POWER Possibly looking to move away from my lovely S2000 later in the year - and if so sensible to do so before end August when I have to renew VED at £400+. Not sure will be able to afford new then - but not far off, so can dream. |

I think it will be worth waiting for. I suspect it may be a bit more than just superficial.

NFU are good...prob the best insurance co BUT.....maybe its the LR dealers and co that are being difficult about honouring it. Yes I too assumed I did the deal agreed spec and price for the car then applied the additional NFU discount...seems not!

Just looked on Drive the Deal site and they are quoting £22,751 for auto GS with metallic and full size spare via their official LR partners.

Drive the Deal are offering about 10% discount and you don't have to haggle.

Thanks for the prompt responses guys. I have trawled the brokers and found one offering over 11%! Call me old fashioned, but if I can I would prefer to deal with a dealer if possible. It was when I saw the broker discounts that I expected the dealers would be able to match them.
