I have had exactly the same and they were replaced under warranty by the dealer, as I understand it is common on the earlier FL2. May be worth mentioning it to them and see what they say. |

Yep I have exactly the same so took them off for a good clean up + spray with WDiddly 40

Do you mean the locking nuts ? If so I had mine replaces 6 months ago under warranty looked again today and the new set have done the same again ! |

My locking ones are also have signs of rust so sprayed them with WD40 a few days ago. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

after reading these posts i have just been out and checked mine,YEP mine have sings of rusting too,so would it be posible to get them changed under warranty? |

If you grease up your nuts at the start of the salty weather, they will be all nice and shiny during the sunny side. If you wash your nuts every day in winter your just asking to get them rotten away by spring. They do look crap in winter all dirty and greasy, but who cares about that 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

My locking wheel nuts are going rusty to. I have asked my dealer to change them next month. Maybe some clear varnish on the new ones would stop them rusting.
