2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Sumatra Black

prob been said already -

better underbody protection - fl1 sump guard was good.

options to turn off auto locking etc without a trip to dealer

this is a big one - split tailgate (or at least an opening glass top section like a bmw 3 series estate circa 2004) to put small items in without opening the boot/ and to be able to leave the dog in the cage in the shade in the summer without leaving the whole boot open.

lower 1st gear - with second equal to current 1st.

better quality gearbox.

arm rest/ center console with decent storage.

Agreed - maybe just for 'loading only'. My misses is only 5 feet tall so with a split tailgate option, once the shoppings in...it's there to stay Laughing

please telleth why you would find a split tailgate so agreeable. you can sit on them and drink pimms, eat cucumber sandwiches at sporting events, but that's it really. trust me I'm a farmer we know about these things.

second thoughts vanners would hate them as they would land on the jack................ Idea split tailgates it is then Thumbs Up At work

Embarassed I was thinkng more the open the glass window seperatly type Embarassed not the drop down sit on and drink pimms type Embarassed
Still, the drop down type would give more room to lay down if you needed a kipp or a Phalacrocorax aristotelis in the boot Thumbs Up 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

My wishes/prefs are:
1 Lower sill/deeper tailgate as the current one is too high for the dog (even a large one) to jump in/out safely.
2 Light switch module mounted much higher, rather than hidden behind steering wheel.
3 Better/easier to read at a glance LCD displays. The clock in particular is annoying (reversed image graphics).
4 Less restriction on options ie better spec stereo, sat nav not available on GS.
5 Include leather steering wheel, lumbar support, adjustable armrests, rear of seat map pockets and sunglasses holder on all specs.
6 Mudflaps and mats on all models.
7 Standard or optional tyre pressure sensors.
8 Rear parking camera as at least an option.
9 Headrest adjustment forwards or rearwards.
10 All stereos to be DAB and have all modes of MP3/Stick inputs with steering wheel control buttons.

Believe it or not, I think the GS I have is an excellent car and personally think it to be the best value spec, but restricted on kit options. Was GS TD4 Auto, Privacy, Santorini with Tundra & Alpaca, Cold Climate Pack. Traded for Discovery Sport HSE Auto.

get auto lights then you dont care where the switch is, the clock is moved on newer models, yu would need to loose the spare wheel to lower the boot sill, I dont like hse armrests too fussy, would like a leather wheel though At work
