What a story, had an introduction, good content to keep us reading and of course a wonderfull ending - go to the top of the class, pass 'go' and collect £200 from the no doubt ungratefull Merc owner |

Thank you very much Mcphersonstrut, I thought I was rambling on but I hate to say this but this was posted with a very heavy heart knowing that my all time love, Emily 3dr F/L1 Sport could probably not pulled this one off without the smell of a very burnt clutch plate, it was accomplished by Freeda with no drama whatsoever, driver skills have yet to be tested by the intelligence of this vehicle. Roll on 2 foot of snow! still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit |

Nice one, always good when you can offer help, sit back and be smug while watching them flounder until they eventually swallow their pride and come begging for help I appear to be addicted to Landrovers...

Just shows how capable the fl2 is. Don't put petrol in a diesel. They don't run well. |

A good tale. I'm sure in all this weather that a lot of us have helped out the fellow motorists that have struggled somewhat.

Great story. I towed a couple of ladies in a Toyota Corolla up a hill and they were very grateful and gave me a tin of Quality Street to show it. Didn't have quite as much success with a Berlingo van last week. After much digging and wheel spin a gritter appeared and towed it out......but using my tow strop! |

Nice One CG, never trust the tow ball. Always use the extension bracket. Hence fray £5 pound Morrisons tow rope on sharp edges. GO BEYOND Recovery loop to close to expensive plastic still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit |
