But at the end of the day it comes down to is TR worth £6000 - the GS is that much more expensive... I could buy the special edition and get my wife a new small car for the same price as the GS on it's own...

ive had the s for 17 months, drove it in snow, ice, mud etc,its ok,now got a gs e with terrain responce, and it does make the difference, ive just come home,ice/snow/grass setting and got up our hill with 2 inches of snow falling in 1 hr,no problem, every one just staring at me all cars left adrift each side of the road.the spec on the gs e my10 is more that anthing you would want. just remember the more thing on it the more that can go wrong. |

To have a FL2 without TR seems pointless to me, then I am biased.

It is worth the extra - all on the forum will tell you that I can guess that if you choose a FL2 without TR and later tried one with TR when it is needed, you will no doubt regret going for the cheaper deal. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

Cheers guys - it's good to hear from someone who's owned both an S and a GS that they think it's worth it. I guess I'll just need to haggle hard when the time comes
