Hello! mind if you chalk one up for me as another happy proud LR2 owner? Very Happy

Almost a week now since we got it (July 4th) me and my wife just love it.

We named her "MANDY"
Why Mandy?
- My wife thinks of it as a giant MANDarin orange not a giant pumpkin! Laughing ( we got the Tambora Flame color)
- My deceased father-in-law loves that song (too bad he didn't see mandy)
- LANDY for Land Rover kinda sound like gay (no pun intended)

Opted for the Fully Loaded LR2 ..it's been a week now and it's all worth it, the lights are bright as the sun, navi is so easy to use, sound system is not bad at all (i'm a car audio enthusiast thus it didn't impressed me that much)

Haven't use the Manual Mode yet as I still need to complete the break-in window.. I don't want to shock the engine just yet Wink

With regards to PDA Cellphones I posted a set-up/procedure on the TECH thread which I hope would help a lot as I read a lot of ranting with regards to LR2's bluetooth Tel System. Do Not Follow Me...You Can't Go Where I Go!!!

.....up in the tree!!!

Romania 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Tambora Flame

Hi everybody.
First of all nice and informative forum, glad that I have found it. Owner of a Freelander2 TD4 with manual gearbox for almost 3 weeks and I’m very happy with its performance. I cannot spec the car since in my country the lines are E, S, SE, HSE, and the equipment for each of the lines is different from the UK. My car started as an S and got several extras (leather, auto dimming mirror, cold climate pack, adaptive Bi-Xenon etc). Have only one minor grievance about the car, will post about it in Technical.

Scotland 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Sumatra Black

Hi folks, just to introduce myself as a new Member. Have ordered a black freelander diesel auto for September delivery, so will just have to wait, excitedly, for the next six weeks or so. However, a couple of things I have noticed re this vehicle - there is no footrest for the left foot, although the area is carpeted - wellies covered in coo poo will not do much for this. I can remedy it with a dod of lino, but a factory fitted footrest, as I have in my Suzuki Vitara TD Auto, would have been nice. Secondly, the rear luggage cover does not lift as the tailgate opens. This would have been useful. Looking forward to contributing more (positive) comments, once the vehicle is delivered. Regards.

yea its a bit like that... but i have to enjoy my golf GTI while I can. Main aim of the F2 is the fact that a GTI really doesnt like towing a 1600kg yacht!!!

Australia 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Baltic Blue

Hi all.

I'm another new joiner. I have a Baltic Blue TD4 SE on order. I have been told mid-September delivery.

Hopefully that will give me enough time to sell my Series II Disco V8. The dealer offered me next to nothing as a trade in and my phone isn't exactly running hot with people wanting to buy it. Damn global warming and crazy petrol prices!

Cheers Reflect on the past and plan for the future. But, above all - LIVE FOR THE MOMENT!!!

got mine

I collected my FL2 TD4 SE Auto on 31st July and took off to North Wales for a family wedding (& to run it in!). First impressions are very favourable. It's quieter and smoother than I expected from a new vehicle, and just as zippy as I'd hoped! Razz

I love all the auto features on the SE and the large screen sat nav, though the latter was not quite as intuitive as I'd expected (took me a while to find out how to cancel a trip once started!) Confused

So far all friends and relatives have been equally impressed with FL2. Very Happy
Life is not a dress rehearsal!
