prices have been cover quite a few times on here, the link below gives a few prices, but is you search for service cost there are plenty more to read.

http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic2930.html?highlight=2nd+service

what you need to bear in mind is dealer cost vary up and down the country due to the price per hour they charge, some charging £110 per hour

If your looking for a independant garage, try speaking to our site sponsors Bellautos, Pete is quite local to you been based at York Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Ouch! Big Cry

Local stealer was going to charge £395 for 2nd service so i've gone indie £295 not sure how much extra the brakes would be.

Front Discs and Pads all round came to £328.44 but they did replace FOC my valve caps because they were seized on?
The fact is they were anti tamper ones that needed a midgy allen key to remove them because the kids round here were going through the Lets Collect Valve Caps Syndrome a while ago. Evil or Very Mad p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey

I got to 45k miles before brake replacement, even though I dont pay I asked some serious questions, that is way out line with my expectations. Was told that they didn't have to be replace at 45k but would not last until 60k therefore they wanted to replace them; Fleet office gave the OK.

Personally I was horrified at what seemed to be such a short life. At 45k they replaced all the discs and pads, nearly £700 !!!!. If I had been a private self funding owner I would have kicked off big style at this. However the service manager tried to calm me down by telling me that my car was the highest mileage car they had seen before needing a 'brake job'. He did quote that some cars had required replacement of at least some brake parts at as low as early 20's k miles. Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

service intervals

As far as im aware on this subject,if you have your car seviced at a vat registered sevice centre/local garage and that GENUINE LANDROVER PARTS are fitted and fluids to landrovers spec are used then your waranty will still be valid.Make sure you get the book stamped though this is very important along with keeping all receipts.
On the whole,if you shop around you will get great savings on your sevicing costs and probably have some money left over to treat yourself.Good look Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Lago Grey

Just been quoted £250 inc VAT for first service at local independant using genuine LR parts and stamped service book, £110 cheaper than the best stealer quote I could find.

They serviced my last car, brand new C class for 4 years and the wifes TT for the last 3 years without so much as a squeak, including a wash and polish.

Think I shall go back there...particularly after the negative dealer experience I had when the car developed an oil leak with just 300 miles on the clock back last autumn.

The only thing I seem to lose out on is the body warranty, but I don't expect a dipped galvanised body to rot anyway... 58 HSE, auto, lago grey, tints. Mine and my dogs Storm and Sky

AC Cobra rep in build. Ars.

Best quote I could find for my first service was £294 from Marshall's in Lincoln, including the 10% discount I get from having a loyalty card from Marshall's having bought the car from them. I called up Marshall's Bedford and asked them and they said they'd match it. Car's now booked in with the Beds dealer as they're the place I bought the car from and have always been very impressed with their customer service, unlike some other dealers I've been to. 09MY FL2 Td4 XS, Style Pack, Privacy Glass, Martinique Blue.. oh so very blue..

Didn't think to call Marshalls at Bedford, although its about 40 mins drive away the other side of the county for me so probably further than I want to go. 58 HSE, auto, lago grey, tints. Mine and my dogs Storm and Sky

I was quoted 'around £350' for my first service with LR although when it was done and I went to pay they only charged me £250. of course I felt a deep sense of guilt and asked if I could pay the £350..................................well okay I snatched the receipt off them, legged it out the door and sped off the forecourt before they could say anything! Thumbs Up
