Want to install Drive + Play 2

Hi all
This is my first post and looking for some help.
I have just got a my2009 Freelander 2 hse auto (love it) and looking to install a harmon kardon drive + play 2 ipod controller and screen. I fitted the older version of the drive + play in my freelander sport 3 years ago and think the features are so car friendly.

I am looking for a couple of things:-

how to access the area under the aux port in between the front seats so i can piggy back for the line in and place the contro; box for the drive + play 2.

how to remove the dash centre speaker grille with out damaging it.

looking for an easy location for constant 12v and switched 12v to run my power feeds from (without having to pull the dashboard apart too much).

Hope someone can help with diagrams or explanations.

Thanks

front cig lighter socket is switched, rear is permanent. There is a fuse box in the passenger footwell but i dont know of anyone ever using that power source

of course as you have a HSE yours will differ slightly due to having a screen not a cubby hole above the radio

try here http://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com then accessory fitting, rear screen connectivity for central console removal

CG has done none of the above and will not accept liabilty if things go awry Confused for example lifting the central consol can pull a wire from the gear controls causing problems

Might be a case of removing the centre console to get at this, have a look for the thread about installing headrest screens as this has a great description of how to remove the centre console.

Start at one side an insert something thin like a credit card, I used a tesco loyalty card, under the edge of the speaker grille and slowly start pulling upwards, whilst moving towards the centre of the grille nearest to the windscreen.

The lighter sockets would do this the front is switched and the rear constant.

Thanks for your speedy responses.

I am going to have a go at fitting the Drive + play 2 in the next couple of weeks and i will let you know how i get on.

I think i will need access to the area in the centre tunnel under the auxillary socket does any one know how to lift it up ?

Thanks
