Drived and started car many Times at this Day
Omg i dont know what happened!, i tryed to fit old bumper and connected fog light connector, and i think i heard some Click noise.

Tryed to fit bumper and went inside car, and IT won't start anymore!

What happend, omg!! Tryed to look 15a fuses and changed them and no help, is there some bigger ones?

Aint noway possible that ecu or those could destroy by that! Thats reason there is fuses to prevent disasters.

What and where to start Look fuses / connections?

Back to this Saga.
Didn't get anyhelp from Forum to My electric problem.

Started to wiggle all fuses on engine compartment and Vola, car started.

Buyed used front bumper from UK plated car on Finland.

Fixed rest things on car: fog lights and headlight washers.
And all papers what was neccesary to get MOT. 4wheel aligment and checklist / report of safety devices.

First attempt mot: all ok but failed because of rear Strut.

Second attempt mot: Passed!

This IS end of this story to get this Back on Road!

Now going to Make timing belt and auto oil change and aircon fill

Got 2 sets of INA Brand timing belt + waterpump kits, one to project car and another to exisiting one which im driving.



After change of timing belt kit, my previous starting problem came back.
found reason for this!

this is somekind of battery positive fuse, when you press it down it will find continuity and if not pressing you lose it. Not sure is it broken or corroded but anyway it needs to be changed or override

what i have found they use these allso on volvo, but i havent found any part numbers for this.

any ideas for part number, and what to do whit this part? should i override it

I think they are designed to blow in the event of a crash to disconnect power . I might be wrong . 2009 FL2 S now gone

its just normal 150A fuse, but i think that is low. if you compare to Volkswagen Crafter alternator fuses are 250-400A

most of cars dont have fuse on this part of electrics.

maybe i will try find new one or just override that and connect it whit out fuse.

(Sorry, The following post was written before I saw your latest posting - I spent some time checking on the internet that I could not find Pyro Crash Link on FL2)

I am not sure that I understand where this 'Crash' Link is, I cannot find any reference to this for the FL2.

I've looked at my car (and at the Repair Manual) and can only spot a Fusible Link and what I think are connections for the Battery Management.

Please can you say why you have a Pyro Crash Link.

Also, what exact FL2 Model are we talking about. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 82k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

I know that this is an old thread, but, in answer to unexplained crash data. The restraints control module is under the centre consol, behind the handbrake, somewhere. The Steering column, has a shear joint that shortens the length, with a pyrotechnic charge. the column only fits to the wrack in one place, the pinch bolt controls radial location. Zero the steering angle by going lock to lock on the wheel. Check the steering gear is fore and aft, as sometimes the sub-frame can twist, as there is slack in the bolt holes. The rack ends can bend also.

2008 freelander had same fusable link.

Now my project car is working, i wiggled very Hard fuse box and then heard loud Electric sound zzz. Since that car have worked. If problem comes back i need to dismantle fusebox and have look for it

Mean while changed auto transmission oils. Look pictures.

Huge difference.
