Didn't get anyhelp from Forum to My electric problem.

Started to wiggle all fuses on engine compartment and Vola, car started.

Buyed used front bumper from UK plated car on Finland.

Fixed rest things on car: fog lights and headlight washers.
And all papers what was neccesary to get MOT. 4wheel aligment and checklist / report of safety devices.

First attempt mot: all ok but failed because of rear Strut.

Second attempt mot: Passed!

This IS end of this story to get this Back on Road!

Now going to Make timing belt and auto oil change and aircon fill

Timing belt + waterpump

Got 2 sets of INA Brand timing belt + waterpump kits, one to project car and another to exisiting one which im driving.

After change of timing belt kit, my previous starting problem came back.
found reason for this!

this is somekind of battery positive fuse, when you press it down it will find continuity and if not pressing you lose it. Not sure is it broken or corroded but anyway it needs to be changed or override

1. What is a Pyrofuse and what does it do?
A Pyrofuse, also known as a Pyroswitch or Pyrotechnical Safety Switch (PSS).

So, what exactly does this device do? The primary function of a Pyrofuse is to act as a switch. In the event of a collision, short circuit, or other safety faults, the Pyrofuse can cut off the power in a very short time, reducing the probability of danger.

Currently, Pyrofuses are used in battery systems, which reminds me of BMW's SBT. BMW's Safety Battery Terminal activates upon detecting a collision signal, using an explosive charge to disconnect the battery terminal, thus cutting off the power supply close to the battery to prevent short circuits and fires. However, not all vehicles are equipped with this device. It is mainly found in high-end vehicles, sports cars, and electric vehicles, such as BMW, Porsche, and Tesla. Pyrofuses are typically installed near the battery or high-voltage battery, but their locations can vary, requiring special attention during vehicle appraisals.

what i have found they use these allso on volvo, but i havent found any part numbers for this.

any ideas for part number, and what to do whit this part? should i override it

Solved mystery

its just normal 150A fuse, but i think that is low. if you compare to Volkswagen Crafter alternator fuses are 250-400A

most of cars dont have fuse on this part of electrics.

maybe i will try find new one or just override that and connect it whit out fuse.

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Fuji White

(Sorry, The following post was written before I saw your latest posting - I spent some time checking on the internet that I could not find Pyro Crash Link on FL2)

I am not sure that I understand where this 'Crash' Link is, I cannot find any reference to this for the FL2.

I've looked at my car (and at the Repair Manual) and can only spot a Fusible Link and what I think are connections for the Battery Management.

Please can you say why you have a Pyro Crash Link.

Also, what exact FL2 Model are we talking about. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

Well the the car is 2010 and it had a incident so im keeping " very open mind and suspicious to electric faults what i have faced on this project. " and i have read that cars may have some safety instruments for accidents ", like Inertial switch / modules would be programmed to cut off fuel lines or preventing start car

googling battery fuses and so on, then i saw something interesting and that was pyro crash link.

first i would assume airbag control module ( known as restrain control module ) could have this kind of feature when it gets locked like i had, but it didnt interrup to start car.

just wondering do FL2 have anykind of previous written features, if do what kind of

found accidently when looked to electronic circuits, there was some relay which activates emergency lights when certain conditions takes place of crash. This goes to airbag / RCM Module which gives command

there maybe allso universal safety features on cars, doors opens and so on

this 150a Starter fuse is above battery + terminal ( attached to + cable ) and i have never seen such a desing, and most of cars dont have this
need to check my 08 plate car will i find same fuse
