Your picture appears to be of the Nearside Front wheel - but I could be wrong... The intermittent "clonk" could be a failed CV joint - particularly since you mentioned the car failed on a split CV joint boot recently. Although the CV boot has been replaced - the damage may have already been done.... Best way to check is to find an empty car park, apply full lock to the right and drive around in a clockwise circle - the "clonk" should be more obvious if the NSF CV joint has failed. If nothing heard, try anticlockwise...

Thanks for the response! Yes it is on the nearside, I have only covered approx 600-700 miles since the CV boot was replaced.
