Freelander 2 no fuel at rail

Hoping you guys can help...
My 2010 freelander 2 td4 was working absolutely fine until Christmas day when I parked it for around 40 minutes to walk the dogs. When I returned to the car it would just turn over but wont start. It had fault codes of P1259-87 immobilizer, P0124-00 throttle position sensor but a deisel fitter told me it would be fuel contamination that's knackered the high pressure fuel pump so I've ditched a full tank of fuel and fitted a new pump to no avail. He says the TPS is fine cos it's not stuck. We are getting no fuel whatever to the fuel rail. All lines are clear and new filter has been fitted.
Any ideas

Yes it's correctly bled, the issue started prior to the replacement filter,
Its worth adding that I cleared the fault codes and now when you try to start it no codes are present. I've even tried towing it. I've also fitted a new crank position sensor

Which pump was changed, the one in the tank or the one on the end of the camshaft?

The high pressure one near the fuel rail. The one in the tank is just a transfer pump. If you crank the engine over with the return pipe off the filter the fuel is returning to the tank so it's going through the system but it's not getting to the fuel rail. It's as though something is telling the car not to supply fuel in order to prevent starting but I've no idea what I'm looking for

If fuel is returning back to the tank then the HP pump is working but it could be that the fuel pressure regulator PCV is stuck open, returning fuel via the clear nylon pipe back to the filter. The PCV is on the end of the fuel rail right-hand side, normally open when engine stopped, control by ECU. When the valve is closed the pressure will rise, enough to fire the injectors.

I had exactly the same problem on one off my freelanders it turned out to be the throttle body faulty and telling ecu not to allow fuel to injectors

New PCV and throttle body ordered, had to wait for payday.
Will the injectors be self bleeding or do I need to crack the pipes off

I’d be inclined to change the PCV first since it’s an easy, or easier job…….then you can return the throttle body if all ok.
The injectors will self bleed…..tremendous pressure will build up in the fuel rail if everything is working ok
& the engine is being cranked…..so I shouldn’t touch the injector feed pipes……
