Jules, Just out of curiosity did you have any bother with the alternator pulley and removal? I've seen mixed reports on difficulty when removing the pulley and teeth being rounded. Was thinking of tackling it myself but the thought of complications such as taking the power steering pump out scares me slightly. Managed the two other pulleys which were a heck of a lot easier than I imagined. Stephen. |

Replaced the Alternator pulley today which was most definitely seized and very noticeable when the new pulley was replaced. The tool that Jules recommended did the job and it wasn't too much of a pain to remove the old one from he alternator. Replaced the fuel filter as well.

Artic I initially thought it was something on top of the engine around the injectors but as I have a hearing issue I wasn't able to locate it as I don't have 3-D hearing anymore It was my son who advised me where the sound was coming from and so when I had a look in the area of the pulleys it was obvious there was an issue there.
